Leigh Whannell, the director of Insidious 3, revealed a new shot from the set of the movie, filming for which is currently underway, on July 25.

The image is of a spooky looking bed room, dimly lit by a lamp, featuring a closet and wallpapered walls.

"This room has no roof. #Insidious3," Whannell captioned the image on Twitter.

Stefanie Scott, Dermot Mulroney and Lin Shayne star in the movie.

Blum (Blumhouse Productions) will be co-producing the third film with Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity). Whannell, who wrote the first two chapter of the franchise -- which were directed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) -- will be directing and writing for Insidious 3.

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29 2015.
