With a number of hit songs and a lengthy gig on NBC's The Voice, Blake Shelton has become one of country music's highest paid artists of the year.

Beat out by the likes of Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, Shelton tied with Brad Paisley in 12th place on Forbes list of Country Cash Kings for 2014. The singer reportedly brought in $23 million dollars this year.

Between concerts, The Voice, album sales, and endorsements, the star has done pretty well for himself. He earned a place over other big name stars like Carrie Underwood and his own wife, Miranda Lambert.

Blake Shelton Told 'Don't Be Yourself' For Concert

Shelton has played a number of concerts this summer and has been putting the finishing touches on his new album, which has yet to receive a title or release date.

On July 18 the star announced on Twitter that he will be playing the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival in Las Vegas October 3. The festival is set to be Las Vegas' first ever country event. Lambert is also scheduled to appear, though it is uncertain whether or not the two will be performing together.

While Lambert didn't join her husband as one of the top paid country artists this year, she could be well on her way to getting there. The star has received high praise from critics and fans alike for her new album, Platinum, which debuted June 3 and continues to top the charts.

Lambert and Shelton are currently in the process of opening up their very own Bed & Breakfast.
