Last week hand balancer Christian Stoinev showed audiences that he could step up his game on America's Got Talent, scoring him one of the 47 places in the NBC competition's live shows Tuesday, July 29.

47 Acts Chosen, 1 Slot Remains For 'America's Got Talent' Live Shows

The 22-year-old fifth generation circus performer wowed judges during his initial audition by balancing on a single finger. To impress them even further during "Judgment Week," he knew he had to expand his performance.

"I'm gonna give them a little different kind of skill set…" he explained before going out on stage, "Then I'm gonna throw them a little surprise."

'Judgment Week' Heats Up On 'America's Got Talent'

During his performance last week Stoinev certainly startled the judges when his 11-year-old Chihuahua Scooby ran out on stage as part of the act, running across Stoinev's body as he rolled across the stage and standing on Stoinev's feet as the circus performer stood upside down on his hands.

"I love performing with him," said Stoinev of his little dog. He's had Scooby since the pup was three months old. The pair certainly captured the hearts of the judges, as well as those of the other acts watching from backstage.

While the performer may have surprised NBC audiences, the Herald Tribune revealed on July 23 that the acrobat has been performing with Scooby for quite some time. Will they have what it takes to win their own show? Will Stoinev continue to impress with new material?

America's Got Talent continues on NBC tonight as the live shows begin.
