It's that time of year again, time for The Mentalist cast to wrap up their summer vacations and step in front of the camera once more.

The CBS drama will kick off its seventh season this winter, and the series' actors are already preparing to take on Patrick Jane's (Simon Baker) next adventure.
"[The Mentalist] first day of filming Season 7 starts the day after tomorrow," tweeted actor Tim Kang (Cho) on Tuesday.
Set for a short 13-episode season, The Mentalist will open the year with "Orange Blossom Ice Cream." Penned by executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi ("Silver Wings of Time," "My Blue Heaven") and directed by executive producer Chris Long ("Blue Bird," "White as the Driven Snow"), the episode will pick up in the wake of last spring's "Blue Bird."
The Mentalist barely scraped an eleventh hour renewal in May, and therefore the season 6 finale left no loose ends to tantalize fans over the summer hiatus. However, viewers have yet to see Jane and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) truly experience their brand-new romantic relationship and the Jisbon arc will undoubtedly fuel much of the seventh season's plot (see video below).
