It looks like Leo may not be leaving Chasing Life as soon as some may have thought he would.

Leo & April Kiss Chatter

On Monday, TV Line posted some information on what's to come in a number of shows, including the heartfelt drama about cancer and love. As it turns out, Scott Michael Foster (Leo) got cast as Kristoff on the ABC series Once Upon a Time in a live action version of Frozen. This probably caused some people to wonder if this meant that his character would be gone for good on Chasing Life.

Executive producer Patrick Sean Smith revealed a couple little hints that seem like Leo may not really be around, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be officially out of the series.

Brenna's Love Triangle Chatter

"We don't want to [kill Leo]. But every character has its purpose on the show," Smith said. "We're finding so many new opportunities in his relationship with April that we hadn't considered before."

This could lead to a number of questions on how this will affect the series. It's possible that Leo might leave and then come back, but there would have to be a reason for that. But whatever happens, it's likely that it'll have a positive result based on Foster's interview with Hollywood Life.

"I think he does soften up, as the season continues, but at the same time, I think he is misunderstood and not really the bad boy," the actor said about his character. "I can see why people would see that, but I think he has so much on hs plate that it may look different than it actually is, I think we will see exactly who Leo is, as the season continues and people will be happy with the turnout."

Chasing Life airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
