Country singer Blake Shelton sure doesn't like to be backed into a corner, and he isn't afraid to speak his mind and even have a little fun in calling out his critics.

The musician has an active social media presence, emphasized greatly by his mentoring role on NBC's The Voice. While the star has had a few choice words for his "haters" in the past, it looks like he's at it again with some old school insults.

"Happy Sunday y'all!!!!" he tweeted over the weekend, "And for any haters reading this, your momma says hello…"

Shelton doesn't hesitate in handing out the insults, some of his previous disses include "scrotum" and the consumption of feces. Nonetheless, the country singer has made it obvious that his disrespect is only aimed at the haters, and he is more than willing to offer up praise for his fans and fellow artists.

Shelton is currently finishing up his latest album, which has yet to receive a release date. He's also been doing some touring before returning as a mentor on NBC's The Voice.

Recently Shelton played a concert at Wrigley Field in Chicago, which was met with much success in spite of concerns that the crowd would not welcome the singer. Earlier this week Forbes listed him one of the highest paid country artists in the country, the star having beat out wife Miranda Lambert and her pal Carrie Underwood in earning the slot.
