While Tiny released her newest single What The F--- You Gon Do amid rumors that she and her husband Ball rapper T.I. were heading for divorce, she made it clear that she didn't do it for attention.

Tiny Admits T.I. Didn't Know About Diss Song Until It Was Released

She retweeted a message from the BET network recently that reads, "Just so you're clear, [Tiny] new song "WTFYG" isn't a publicity stunt. It's straight from her heart."

In a recent open letter in Vibe magazine called In My Own Words, the former X-Scape singer confessed that she actually wrote the song a year ago, before speculation about she and T.I. even began. But she decided now was the time to release it.

Tiny and T.I. Release Diss and Love Songs At Same Time

Tiny wrote, "I never planned to put it out. It was therapy for me. At the time, I was really going through a lot. Stuff that the public didn't know and still doesn't know. And over the past year, as things have unfolded publicly, people expected me to speak on it. And then I realized, I did speak on all of this, a year ago, in this song. So it made sense to release it."

Even though she revealed T.I. had no idea about the song until it hit the internet, she didn't let fans know what he thinks about it.

Whatever her reason for sharing her song with the world after leaving the music scene 10 years ago, one can't deny it's a successful one.

Tiny thanked fans via Instagram for making the song a hit July 23.

She shared a screenshot with the caption, "Thank U Thank U cause of u guys my 1st solo single #wtfygd is #1 on R&B/Soul in less than 24hr! Won't He Do It?!!! #Thankful #prettyhustle".

Her screenshot of the chart revealed her new single beat out John Legend's All of Me, Don't Tell 'Em by Jeremih and newcomer Tinashe's song 2 On.
