There's been a lot of drama surrounding her, but Dania Ramirez wouldn't change playing the character of Rosie on Devious Maids for anything.

Dominic Adams Says 'A Lot Of Doors Are Open' About Season 3?

Speaking to The Huffington Post on July 28, the actress and new mom talked about her character, a maid who was almost deported after her affair with one of her employers, who then fought her corrupt lawyer and wound up marrying her former love. She's been blessed to play the character for two seasons thus far, and appears hopeful that she'll get to continue portraying her for more to come.

"Rosie is such a complex role," she said. "I am having the best time playing her. I can be funny without telling a joke and fall in love all at once! She is so honest and her story is such one I relate to that the work for me is just fun. "

Ramirez also revealed what she hopes for her character going forward.

""I want her to help people and have best friends and hurt so that I can explore her finding her way back to happiness once again," she said.

While Ramirez may love playing the role however, a third season of the Lifetime series has not yet been decided on.

While the show had respectable ratings for its second season, viewers came to watch in lower numbers on average, compared to the high ratings the first season brought in.

The drama did face some stiff competition  in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays this season, getting beaten by a wide variety of shows, including HBO's Silicon Valley and The Leftovers, AMC's Mad Men, Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Adult Swim's Bob's Burgers, TLC's Return to Amish, TNT's Falling Skies and Discovery's Naked and Afraid.

A decision on the series' fate should be released soon.
