Channing Tatum gave new details about the highly anticipated sequel film about male strippers to ET Now while attending San Diego Comic-Con over the July 26-27 weekend, and promised that while the dance routines will still be present, the new film will be very different from the 2012 prequel, Magic Mike.

Alex Pettyfer Officially Not Returning For 'Magic Mike' Sequel?

The movie, which is set to focus on a road trip, will actually be different in several ways, Tatum revealed, as he said he planned on ditching the darker vibes of the first film for more hijinks, hilarity and laughs.

"It's definitely going to be a different movie, like, I don't know if I've ever seen a sequel that is going to be this different from the first movie," he said, before adding "In a good way."

His reveal also reportedly included confirmation that most of the original guys from the first film would be returning, including Joe Manganiello as Big D-k Richie, Matt Bomer as Ken, and possibly Alex Pettyfer as Adam.

However, the one person who still definitely has not confirmed a return is Matthew McConaughey, who portrayed strip club owner Dallas.

According to the film's IMDB page, McConaughey, Pettyfer and Cody Horn, who portrayed Adam's sister, Brooke, are all still rumored and have not confirmed returns to the movie.

Magic Mike: XXL hits theaters July 3, 2015.
