The first scene in the Season 7 premiere of Sons of Anarchy features Jax getting into a physical altercation with a fellow prison inmate, according to TVGuide.com. This is just a teaser for what happens when Jax gets out of prison, however.

Once he's released, Jax will lay the beat down on the person he thinks killed Tara (Maggie Siff). Little does he know, though, that it was his own mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) who killed her in the Season 6 finale.

Sons of Anarchy Jax Becomes Person Who 'Incites Chaos' In Final Season

Speaking on his character, Hunnam explained recently that he would be getting rid of his good-guy status for the final season.

"Jax was always so tortured by the pull of who he thought he should be," Hunnam said. "There's something really liberating about being rid of the sense of having to be a good guy. This is about Jax deciding, if he's got no reason to leave [the outlaw world], he may as well be what this world demands you be."

A promotional photo of Jax in prison was released this month, with the troubled character sitting at a table across from guest star Marilyn Manson's character, Ron Tully, a white supremacist who helps Jax expand his power base.

The final season of Sons of Anarchy is set to begin Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
