Devestating Loss Impending On Rizzoli & Isles

Well, on Wednesday, Ace Showbiz reported on the plot of the next upcoming episode of the show, and it certainly seems like one of the two main ladies could find themselves in trouble.

The episode, entitled "Lost & Found," will focus on the young witness of a crime, namely, the witness of a woman being killed by a contract killer. The team will have to work against the clock to track said witness down and the synopsis says that Jane Rizzoli, as played by Angie Harmon, will have to put herself in the line of fire to protect the witness.

Unless this is a misleading synopsis, it certainly sounds like Rizzoli is going to be shot. That seems like a big event in the course of the show. Will this event have major ramifications on the remainder of the season? Or will Rizzoli overcome being shot, presuming she is shot, quite quickly? Having one of your two titular characters possibly being down for the count would put a possible strain on the show. On the other hand, it could give Rizzoli & Isles a lot to work with too.

The show airs on TNT on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. Will "Lost & Found" play out like the synopsis indicates it might? What will happen when Jane puts herself in the line of fire? The answers will be known come August 5.
