Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters this Friday, but one of the end credit clips has already slipped out.

A post-credit scene featuring Benico Del Toro's The Collector and Howard the Duck hit the Internet on Wednesday, according to Fansided. While the scene (which has since been removed) is a humorous nod to older Marvel fans, most viewers are more excited for the mid-credit scene.

Generaly used to promote another upcoming Marvel film, the mid-credit scene tends to feature characters from the Marvel project that is two films down the pipeline. Last November's Thor: The Dark World introduced audiences to Del Toro's Guardians character while April's Captain America: The Winter Soldier provided a glimpse at Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch from The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

If Marvel sticks to the formula, Guardians of the Galaxy should come packaged with a new scene for next summer's Ant-Man.

To keep the surprise under wraps, however, Marvel Studios won't incorporate the clip into advanced screenings until Thursday night.

"Yes, got confirmation that the tag at the end of #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy will be on prints starting with tomorrow night's showings," tweeted Ryan Penagos, executive editorial director of Marvel digital media, on Wednesday.

Anxious Marvelites should keep a watchful eye on the Internet on Thursday night if they want to find an early description of the mid-credit scene.
