Comic-Con left many Marvel fans thirsty for more information after the panel stuck with just information regarding their 2015 releases, but could a hypothetical plot line for the upcoming Thor movie mean Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) was meddling with the Asgardian gods?

Uncertain Future & Lack Of Director Leads To Possible Delay To 2018 For 'Thor 3'

A leaked set of logos was released following Comic-Con that labeled the Thor sequel as being called, Thor: Ragnarok. Over at MoviePilot, they speculated what the story could be for a Ragnarok-centered story, and it could include Tony Stark.

At the end of Thor: The Dark World, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) decided to leave his post in Asgard to stay on Earth with his love, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and left Loki (Tom Hiddleston) on the throne without his knowledge. With the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron still to come, MoviePilot speculated what would happen to the God of Thunder leading to the third movie.

'Thor 3' Spoilers: Rumored Plot May Lead To The Death Of Main Characters

"Ragnarok has dual meaning in the Marvel Comics. On one hand, you have the saga, Ragnarok, which was the Asgardian Apocalypse, the end of their world. If Marvel decided to go this route, Loki would probably have some sort of hand in starting the Asgardian end of days, and Thor would have to not only fight his Brother, but would also have to save his entire world from destruction," they speculated.

"On the other hand, however, you have Ragnarok. A cyborg clone or Thor himself created by Tony Stark combining his own DNA with Asgardian DNA to replace Thor with the real Son of Odin was MIA."

But which meaning could it be? Judging from the first two Thor movies, it seems more plausible that the first storyline would be the logical choice. Loki is left in Asgard while Thor meddles in Earth, so when he returns after Avengers 2, there could be a lot to deal with.

On the other hand, the teasers from Avengers 2 have shown a lot of destruction in the path of the superhero team and casualties could always happen. Having Tony Stark create a clone of Thor wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility because he has done it already with Ultron practically.

Either way, Thor 3 could spell a closing for the franchise and its star Hemsworth.
