In her newest advice column for OK! Magazine on Monday, D'avanzo answered a reader's question on how to control your anger issues and how she was able to change her thought process.

D'avanzo admitted she had a hard time in the past with anger issues, but that she has been changing that a lot in the last few years. "I think it's because I watched myself on TV and didn't like what I saw. My kids had a lot to do with me trying to change my ways," she wrote. "I really didn't want them to see me get that angry since they never see me that way in my home."

She said she now thinks about the situation, waits it out and then addresses it, instead of addressing it right away out of emotion.

Her best advice? Never let anyone get the best of you and don't let anyone unnecessary take up space in your head.
