'NCIS' Season 12 Spoilers: Michael Weatherly & Emily Wickersham Tease 'Baby Drop' On Twitter [PHOTOS]
The cast of NCIS started filming season 12 earlier in July and some stars have teased the upcoming episodes.
On Tuesday, Emily Wickersham, who plays newcomer Ellie Bishop, shared a photo of co-star Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo) throwing a baby doll in the air. "Not the babyyy!" she wrote as the caption.
Weatherly - who looks shocked in the photo - uploaded the same picture and wrote, "Hey @EmilyWickersham BABYDROP."

Weatherly often shares teasers on social media. On July 19, he uploaded a picture of himself in character, wearing a suit and pointing a gun. "Guess what season it is? #NCISisBACK," he wrote as the caption.

The new season will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 23 and it's sure to draw a big audience. The CBS show has been the top series in the U.S. for the last five years and even became the most-watched drama worldwide -- an estimated 57.6 million people tuned in to watch NCIS in 2013.
For its success, the show received the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco in June.

It's no secret that determination and teamwork have allowed our cast and crew to continue to deliver a show we're truly proud of," actor Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) and executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a joint statement.
