It has been a busy, high stakes season for the folks on Longmire, and it all comes to a head with next week's season finale.

Will Viewers Find Out Who Killed Walt's Wife On Longmire's Season 3 Finale?

There is no guarantee of a fourth season for the show, so this could be the end of the adventures of Walt Longmire and the rest of the characters in Absaroka County, Wyo. On Thursday, CarterMatt provided a glimpse at what viewers may be in store for in the finale.

The report features a promotional still for this episode, which is entitled Ashes to Ashes, a title that has a certain ring of finality to it. The photo features Sheriff Walt Longmire, played by Robert Taylor, and Henry Standing Bear, played by Lou Diamond Phillips. They seem to be driving in a car, destination unknown, and Henry certainly does not look happy, which makes sense. The photo doesn't say a ton, but it does strike a certain mood.

Meanwhile, Walt is still trying to stop Branch, and the synopsis for this episode indicates there will be some sort of closure regarding the investigation of the murder of his wife. There is also, of course, whatever Katee Sackhoff's Vic gets up to, and she certainly will be involved.

Longmire will air its season 3 finale Monday August 4 at 10:00 p.m. on A&E. Expect a lot of answers, and enjoy what may be the last chance to see a new episode of this show.
