It looks like Abby Lee Miller is a single woman after all. The Dance Moms star recently went on the record to deny reports that she is engaged to Padula, explaining that she and her good pal are "committed" to each other, despite reports that they are set to get married.

According to Reality Tea, Miller made the clarification after being congratulated during a talk show for her engagement. She quickly denied the reports and explained exactly what is going on between her and Padula.

"No, wait, wait, wait, just let me explain," Miller said on The Juice. "My mother was very ill, and she just passed away. I just think it was kind of a comfort thing for her to know there was somebody."

There were also reports that suggested Miller was "faking" her engagement after the media began speculating about Padula's sexual orientation.

Apparently, Padula, a former West Hollywood ballroom and Latin dance instructor, has also starred in Neurotica, a short film about patrons in a gay bar, and is a very active member of the Los Angeles gay community.

Meanwhile, even though it's taken her quite some time to confirm her engagement, Miller admits that she won't be officially tying the knot soon, as she is still mourning the death of her late mother, who passed away earlier this year. Miller does admit, though, that she and Padula "rushed" their engagement for her mother.

"We rushed into things because my mom was ill," she said just last month. "I think it was kinda like she would be at peace if she knew I had someone to take care of me."
