After a report circulated last week that Lisa Vanderpump was joining up with Lisa Rinna to form a new alliance on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump is slamming it saying that they've always been friends.

On Thursday, Radar Online reported that Vanderpump was taking Rinna under her wing on the Bravo show. "Lisa Vanderpump is going out of her way to make sure that she can count on Lisa Rinna this season," a source told the website. "Last year, Lisa V. was left out in the cold as all of the ladies turned on her."

Rinna supported Vanderpump when she was getting her star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame along with pal Lance Bass and Vanderpump's family. "Both of them have been social acquaintances for years, but Vanderpump is truly going the extra mile to welcome Lisa R. to the show," the Radar source continued.

Today, Vanderpump to her Twitter account yesterday when a fan tweeted the report to her. A fan named @poorbabi wrote Vanderpump, "Tabloids love to try to stir it up.@LisaVanderpump  & @lisarinna  have been friends for years.Stop stirring it up" Vanderpump responded by saying, "Exactly..slow news day."

Rinna hasn't confirmed that she will be an official housewife on the reality show, but she didn't deny it either when asked. "I do [watch the show] and I do know all the women," Rinna told Us Weekly last week. "I can tell you that-[I've known them] for years."
