Unser (Dayton Callie) may be tortured in the upcoming final season of FX's Sons of Anarchy, according to new comments from the actor.

Jax Has A 'Singular Purpose' In Sons of Anarchy Final Season

Callie, alongside Drea de Matteo (who plays Wendy) spoke with Zap2It at San Diego Comic-Con in a video posted Monday. In it, Callie reveals that while he has not been tortured quite yet at this point in production, it could be coming soon.

"One or two episodes and I haven't been tortured yet," he quipped. "I have a feeling [showrunner] Kurt [Sutter] will figure something out, how to torture me this year."

Unser had an eventful season in Season 6, having been attacked by Neo-Nazis and also indirectly causing Gemma (Katey Sagal) to murder Tara (Maggie Siff).

Meanwhile, de Matteo did not tease anything about her character's future, though she did say she was "happy to be here to wrap up the show with everybody." De Matteo was promoted to series regular for Season 7.

Meanwhile, Sutter is nearing the ending of the series every day. He tweeted Saturday, "Writing my draft of 708. Excited to have one of my writer/producers, @ChiefRocka77 directing this one. It's a gamechanga. #dontf---itup."

It seems that Episode 8 will be a significant one as the series winds down, or perhaps revs up, to a close. Sutter previously revealed that Season 7 will be different for Jax (Charlie Hunnam) as he will be more active in causing chaos for the first time.

The final season of Sons of Anarchy is set to begin Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
