It looks as though things are going from bad to worse for Kate Gosselin and her personal life. According to a new report, her former best friend is speaking out for the first time over how she was allegedly scammed by the reality television star before she published her first book, Multiple Blessings, back in 2008.

Kate Gosselin Admits That She Sometimes Cries Behind Closed Doors

Radar Online reported on Monday that Gosselin's friend, Beth, says she didn't get the credit or money deserved when she helped her write the book. The book was meant to be a joint collaboration between Gosselin and her friend, but apparently Gosselin and her ex-husband Jon refused to give her a cut from the profits that she would have received for her work.

"We agreed on a 50/50 split and it was fair, although I did do all the writing, absolutely, did all the writing... it was without a doubt Kate's story," Beth told Radar. "She told me the story and I wrote it. Absolutely, I wanted to take nothing away from the fact that it was her story. But I put a lot of work into it."

Kate Gosselin's Rumored Boyfriend Leaves Her

Beth added, "I didn't know that Jon was even on the book until it was published and Kate tried diligently to get my name removed from everything. But luckily I'd covered my butt with a layer and fortunately I have a business-minded husband who basically said we had to take precautions when doing business with friends."

Beth added that she got the 50 percent she deserved, but things between her and Gosselin had changed for the worst. The two have failed to reconnect after feuding over the profits, despite the fact that Beth was a good family friend for years.

Beth said, "Wow, not only have I changed and fed your kids for years, at my house for a week at a time, all of them, then for her to not acknowledge me was a clap in the face. When we first talked about the book and how it turned out, we were excited to promote it so it was a shocker and stab in the back for her to be like, you didn't do this."
