Reports circulate that Michael Strahan had no idea Hollywood Exes star Nicole Murphy dumped him until it made headlines; she allegedly found out he was cheating on her.

According to an article TMZ released Tuesday morning, Strahan accepted his induction into the Hall of Fame before he knew Murphy dumped him.

Coincidentally, she announced the split during his speech after she found enough proof that he was unfaithful to call it quits. Apparently Murphy had been investigating Strahan since July after having suspicions that he was messing around with another woman.

She got the confirmation she needed Friday and went to the media with the news. It's not clear what proof Murphy received that made her break up with her fiancé of five years. Still, she maintains that she wasn't just a woman scorned when she announced their breakup just as he experienced one of the biggest moments in his career.

But sources from his entourage think differently. A separate insider said that Strahan was completely "blindsided" by Murphy's decision to pull the plug on their relationship and added that they think she had an ulterior motive behind her timing.

Other sources close to the couple say they have actually been apart several weeks and have been going back and forth in their relationship for more than two years. But Strahan didn't plan on announcing their split until after he received the award.

Either way, Strahan didn't know Murphy went public with the news when he stated, "This is the best weekend of my life" while accepting his induction.
