There may be a big change with some of the pro dancers on ABC's Dancing With the Stars with the potential for new dancers to replace older ones.

Wrestler James Storm Could Compete on Dancing With the Stars

Amid the news that Maks Chmerkovskiy is leaving Dancing With the Stars as a competitor, there is at least one slot open for new talent. AfterBuzzTV's Kristyn Burtt revealed in an Instagram video Monday that the new DWTS showrunner Rob Wade has met with the pros this summer and that there could be new pros ready to compete.

"We've got Rob Wade coming into the producer position," she said. "I heard he met with all the talent this summer, some we haven't seen in a long time but they're still under contract. Maybe we'll see some new pros, because there's a change in the air."

Burtt posted her video on Twitter where she replied to inquiring fans hoping to learn more about who was leaving and who was being brought on.

She told one user, "some changes coming. A few pro slots open because a few pros taking time off."

Another user said that they were hoping for Dmitry Chaplin to return as a pro dancer, but Burtt replied, "He is probably not under contract anymore. It's been a long time since he's been on the show."

It is not certain if DWTS fans will learn who's in and who's out until the cast announcement in early September, unless a popular pro like Derek Hough or Cheryl Burke decides to leave.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The network is also planning a separate results show for the first two weeks of competition, to air on Tuesday.
