They're busy prepping for their soon-to-arrive bundle of joy, but pregnancy hasn't kept Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling from staying busy with their professional lives.

Though they've both been keeping extremely low profiles since the pregnancy news broke in early July, Gosling finally emerged from hiding August 5 and was caught by photographers as he gassed up his car at an L.A. gas station-and proved that impending fatherhood hasn't changed his famously good looks, as he still looked sexier than ever.

The actor sported some scruff on his face and a tan baseball cap as he ran his errand.

And while his girlfriend is still keeping a low profile and staying out of the spotlight, she has been keeping busy professionally-and has officially unveiled her newest collection for the Eva Mendes line she sells at New York and Company stores.

The collection, which features a heavily burgundy color scheme, was unveiled August 1, and for Fall 2014, the actress designed several chic dresses, separates and accessories-but included no maternity wear, which some had speculated she may begin designing now that she herself is expecting a child.

If the actress does begin designing maternity, or even baby clothes however, it would likely be for a separate line elsewhere, as her collection at New York and Company has often catered to career women who appreciate a fun flare of color in their work clothes that can translate to a night out.

However, those who see her lack of maternity designs as a sign that she isn't excited about her impending new role as a mother could be sorely mistaken, as sources revealed the 40-year-old actress has always wanted to be a mother.

Sources said after the news broke that the actress' pregnancy with Gosling is something she very much wanted, and she just downplayed parenthood talk for years because she wasn't sure if it was going to happen for her.

'Eva downplayed having a family because she didn't know whether it was going to happen for her, but she has always wanted to be a mom," the source said. ""Ryan is being really supportive, and they can't wait for their little arrival."
