The official trailer for the final season of FX's Sons of Anarchy has been released and it's clear that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) will be on a mission in the motorcycle drama's final episodes.

Sons of Anarchy Jax Set To Go On 'Bloody Path' Of Revenge In Final Season

In the opening moments of the trailer, Tyne Patterson (CCH Pounder) tells an imprisoned Jax about the different between their two worlds.

"The desire for revenge, it's a part of grieving," she explains. "In my world, violent desires would never become real. In yours, it's a very likely outcome."

The trailer then shows Jax out of prison and ready to seek revenge on the person who killed Tara (Maggie Siff). Little does he know, of course, that his own mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) was the one who committed the crime.

Gemma seems to still be wanting to harbor her secret in the new season, saying that it is "the right thing to do" to protect the truth from getting out.

No longer having the woman he loves, Jax tells the members of SAMCRO that he is not going to lose them too.

Jax also says that he no longer has "a vision" in terms of cutting ties with people like Nero (Jimmy Smits).

He tells his SAMCRO members, "I need to know that every single one of you would die for the man next to him."

It looks to be a violent end to Sons of Anarchy, and the show's fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 is set to begin Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
