America's Got Talent went through its second round of quarterfinals eliminations on NBC Wednesday night, with five acts moving on to the semifinals.

Exciting New Performances Rise From 'Obscurity' For America's Got Talent Live Shows

Competition was fierce Tuesday night, with voting opening up to viewers after the show. By Wednesday night the votes were in, and some fan favorites didn't make the cut.

Hand balancer Andrey Mararu, singer Jaycob Curley, Aerial Animation, and magician Mat Franco all made it through after impressing judges and audiences alike.

48th Act Chosen By Morning Show For 'America's Got Talent' Quarterfinals

Unfortunately for the other performances, that meant four slots were already filled and Hart Dance Team, Darik Santos, Juan Carlos, Livy, Matt & Sammy, and John & Andrew were eliminated.

By the end of the Wednesday night show, only two acts remained to fill one slot. It was up to the judges to decide between the singers of ACTE II and the young singer with a big voice Mara Justine. The decision wasn't easy, but the judges decided to go with Mara Justice, meaning the powerhouse performer will be continuing into the semifinals.

While the eliminations were difficult, the performers did get a little relaxation Tuesday night at the show's after party (featured below). The acts got the chance to kick back with host Nick Cannon and enjoy the laughs, spoon bending, hand balancing, and impressive consumption of cake.

America's Got Talent continues on NBC Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
