After three full seasons of FX's American Horror Story, Sarah Paulson knows what she can and can't say about the upcoming fourth season of the show, titled Freak Show.

Paulson appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers Wednesday night where she talked about being a part of the horror anthology series and almost spilled the beans on what was ahead for her character in Freak Show.

Meyers brought out a photo of Paulson on the set of Freak Show, in which she is set to play a two-headed character named Dot and Bette. Asked to share any details, Paulson quipped that she has two heads and two spinal cords but almost said too much.

"I almost just did something so bad!" Paulson exclaimed. "I almost just got fired is what just happened."

The only other real detail known about Paulson's Dot and Bette character(s) is that she will be one of the "freaks" featured in one of the last remaining freak shows in America, in 1952. The troupe of performers is owned by Jessica Lange's new character Elsa Mars, who goes around "saving" various characters and putting them in the show.

Some of Dot and Bette's fellow "freaks" include Effil Darling (Kathy Bates), Jimmy Darling (Evan Peters) Desiree Dupree (Angela Bassett) and an unnamed character played by Frances Conroy. Other actors slated to appear in American Horror Story: Freak Show are Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Jamie Brewer and Denis O'Hare.

Michael Chiklis has signed on to play Wendell Del Toredo, the wife of Desiree, ex-wife of Effil and father of Jimmy. John Carroll Lynch is set to play the big villain of the season: the Twisted Clown.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to premiere in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific air date.
