Mimi Faust has finally broken down and revealed the whole truth about the production of her now infamous sex tape with her boyfriend and co-star Nikko Smith after much speculation has circulated.

One aspect of the tape that her friends Ariane and Erica Dixon as well as millions of fans couldn't wrap their head around was how the "leaked" tape appeared to be so professional with different camera angles and editing features.

While Faust and Smith have been unable to provide a logical explanation from the beginning, Faust finally confessed what happened.

She told Ariane and Dixon that the production company told she and Smith they did not have enough footage to move forward with a complete adult film. So they requested the couple go back and tape more, which they did.

Faust explained, "The initial tape was homemade."

While her two close girlfriends seemed to feel vindicated by Faust's new information, Dixon couldn't help but wonder why she didn't disclose all of the facts from the beginning. Faust simply replied that she felt she didn't need to.

Faust and Smith's sex tape has become a majority of their story line for the current season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. In the premiere episode Smith broke the news to Faust that footage of their intimate moments were revealed after his bag, which included his camera, was stolen while he was on vacation. Faust has maintained that she had no other choice to but make money off of a tape that would have hit the internet and gone viral with our without her permission.
