After word got out that music star Mariah Carey and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon could be ending their marriage, one of the host's co-workers revealed some details on him, which can put some of those rumors to rest.

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon To Announce A Separation?

On Thursday, Wet Paint posted a clip with reality competition judge Howie Mandel talking to Entertainment Tonight. The judge talked about Cannon's professionalism and who he is behind the stage, giving the impression that an upcoming divorce might not be taking place after all.

"I think Nick's a consummate professional," Mandel said. "And I think, you know, the rumor mills aside are just part of the game and it ain't through until it happens. So I think he handles the pressure, the rumors and show business fantastic. And he's a great father, great husband and a great host."

Was Mariah Carey Alone During Pregnancy?

Even though these words are coming from Mandel, it still leaves insight that Cannon and his wife are doing just fine in their marriage. The word of a split came from Media Takeout when it was claimed that the two were going to make an announcement sometime this week. And if they really were planning to call it quits, the reason was not because of Cannon having an affair.

"Nick completely adored Mariah, he would NEVER cheat on her," a source said.

The site also mentioned that the host was staying in a hotel room and his grandparents were going to visit him to help him cope. But it seems that there's nothing to be too skepitcal of- at least at this point.
