It seems like Mark Wahlberg is going to keep his physique from this summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction for his next movie even though it is a sequel to a comedy.

'Ted 2' News: Long Line Of Costumed People In Boston Signals Large Casting Call For Comedy Sequel

On Saturday, The Daily Mail found the Transformers star with a completely ripped body during filming for the upcoming blockbuster, Ted 2. The film was shooting in Wahlberg's hometown of Boston, which also is the home for his character John Bennett and Ted, the foul-mouthed bear, in the movie.

It is an interesting note that Wahlberg would be so ripped for a role in a movie that didn't require too much physical labor, but it could mean more of an action focus for the sequel. Wahlberg has shown to be one of the more capable action leading men right now in Hollywood and writer/director Seth MacFarlane could be using his actor to get some action added to the movie.

It also could be that Wahlberg wants to keep the muscle for an upcoming project, but his next few movies don't seem to require any action so it is assumed that he will be performing some stunts on the Ted 2 set.

Ted 2 has possibly become more important to MacFarlane than he initially thought after his western comedy, A Million Ways To Die In The West, bombed at the box office this year and put MacFarlane in the spotlight as a possible one-hit wonder. Going back to Ted could help MacFarlane gain some respect again to move forward with another original project.

Ted 2 is set to open in theaters on June 26, 2015.
