In the clip Ray's daughter is seen accusing him for the cops scapegoating her by planting pot on her to get him in trouble.

"The cops planted pot on me and you know it was really about you," she tells Ray. This also elicits shock from Ray's wife.

Various other storylines are also engaged in the promo, as Ray and his girl Friday (Kate Moennig) are seen tricking one of their victims, a cop who works with the LA division head of the FBI, James Cochran, into closed quarters with no escape.

Toward the end of the video, a devastated Ray is confronted by his wife, who is in complete complete disarray, barking at him: "I am your victim, we're all your victims!"

In a recent interview with Zap2it about the show, Schreiber stated that he was the "luckiest guy on the planet" for getting the opporunity to work with such great actors and also for the success of the first season.

"I was giggling through the first two episodes at the riches being afforded me. Because it was successful the first season, I got a chance to work with Hank [Azaria]," he said. "I got a chance to work with Wendell [Pierce]. I got a chance to work with Vinessa [Shaw]. And I was really in hog heaven at that point. I am the luckiest guy in TV, in many respects."

When asked, if looking back, the series had actually met his expectations and his first conversations with producer Ann Biderman, the actor responded in the affirmative.

"Because I'm a bit of an empty-glass guy, I didn't anticipate the success, I didn't anticipate the reception, and I didn't anticipate all of Ann's amazing work to make it happen and to write such compelling episodes," he said. "There have been amazing rewards for me, and I didn't anticipate that it would have such an effect on my career and on me as an actor."

The second season premiered on July 13.

The next episode of Ray Donovan will air on Sunday, Aug 17 at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
