Two soccer teams from Great Britain and Brazil will compete today in a pre-Olympics friendly showdown at England's Riverside Stadium

Brazil's team is considered a fan favorite of the sport and likely winner of the game, according to several polls online.

The game serves as preparation for Brazil who will send its best and brightest to the London Olympic 2102 games.

The Olympics are the only significant international tournament that the Brazilians have yet to win.

The Brazilian team's best players will comptete today at the pre-Olympic as well as at the London Olympics and are considered some of the best around the world.

They are also expected to represent the country at the 2014 World Cup, which they will be hosting.  

Some of the other star players include Neymar, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Alexandre Pato.

Neymar had one goal and two assists so far in 2012 international friendly matchups, and will add more to this total before the Olympic Games.

The 22-year-old star scored 13 goals for Chelsea last season, but has left their coach concerned about his ability to compete in the 2012 London Olympics "after being diagnosed with viral meningitis," according to a SkySports.com report. 

As for Britain, it is the first time fans of the British men's national soccer team will be able to watch them compete in the Olympic Games since 1960. Team Brazil won the bronze medal in Beijing four years ago.

There is has been a lot of publicity on the British due to their inability to sell tickets and the omission of 37-year-old David Beckham from the British Olympic team, according to Reuters.
