In the face of stagnant tech sales, Microsoft has set it sights on a potential November 2012 release of its Windows 8 phone.  Recently slated to make its in store debut in October, the tech savvy powerhouse looks to rebound after suffering its first ever quarterly loss.

On the upside, many experts are predicting that the touch-friendly Windows 8 system along with a similar tablet in the upcoming months will be just the products they need to re-cement themselves as a digital forefront.

Chief Executive Steve Ballmer of Microsoft had the following to say in a statement:

The new products "will drive our business forward and provide unprecedented opportunity to our customers and partners."

Although more information has yet to come out that would confirm an exact date of release, Microsoft is currently adding more features and perks to the mobile device.  They are also addressing issues involved with incompatibility; as Windows is looking to link up with some manufacturers in order have handsets that link up to Windows 8.

Fortunately for many, it seems as though Microsoft is gaining ground on the smart phone systems.  However, they still have some technological catching up to do as far as the features go.

The news on the groundbreaking phone is something many have been waiting to hear.  There are still more details to come out, so stay tuned.
