Director Leigh Whannell recently revealed that the filming for Insidious: Chapter 3 will finish this week, which means fans should gear up for the big reveal as the teaser trailer for the movie should not be very far away now.

The filming wrapped pretty quickly in a matter of months, given the efficiency of the team it seems like pulling out a teaser to satiate fans shouldn't take that long either.

"Last week of shooting on Insidious Chapter 3. I'm tired and.......sorry, the producers just informed me that I'm feeling great!! Go team!!" Whannell tweeted on August 10.

Leigh Whannell Teases Plot Stating There Will Be "Lots Of Shadows" 

Stefanie Scott, Dermot Mulroney and Lin Shayne star in the movie.

Blum (Blumhouse Productions) is co-producing the third film with Peli (Paranormal Activity). Whannell, who wrote the first two chapters of the franchise -- which were directed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) -- is helming Insidious 3.

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29 2015.
