Doctor Who's Clara Oswald will have a tough time separating her love life from her time travel life in season 8.

Master Won't Return To 'Doctor Who' In Season 8, Steven Moffat Explains Why

The young companion will meet Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson) as the season progresses, but as they come to care for each other Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) will have to decide whether or not to loop her boyfriend in on her secret travels.

"It's almost as if she's having an affair, without having an affair, but the lying becomes more and more," Coleman told the BBC (via Doctor Who TV). "Basically she's trying to manage the two, and have these two men in her life. It becomes quite a hurtful thing and quite a hard thing for her because she's totally torn between the two, and trying to have both at once without being able to do it successfully."

Although Danny and Clara may not have a good relationship, Coleman enjoys working with Anderson.

"It's been great. He's a dream. I think he's going to be really popular in the show," Coleman explained. "He's very laid back, very cool and collected, and he plays the trumpet in-between takes as well on set! He's lovely."
