Taylor Swift, the pop/country singer famous for 22 will be performing at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift announced the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also performed a few hilarious skits including Fallon's well known 'EW' stunt as Natalie. During the interview, Fallon asked about the performance and she said "I am going to perform at the VMAs." According to HollywoodLife, she will be performing alongside Beyoncé, Maroon 5 and 5 Seconds Of Summer. Recently, Nicki Minaj was revealed to also be performing at the event, which will be held on August 24 this year.

Also during the interview with Fallon, Taylor Swift stated that Yahoo! will be hosting a special stream with her on the 18th of August. Swift hinted that there will be special announcements given during the stream, not specifying if new music was on the way. For now, fans of Swift can continue to build hype for her first acting performance, which will be with legends Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep in The Giver. The Giver is set to be released August 15.
