It looks like Sylvester Stallone is looking to add some kung-fu into the next Expendables movie, but the guy he is asking may not want to show up.

Den of Geek spoke with Jackie Chan on Tuesday at the premiere of his new movie, Chinese Zodiac, and asked about his interest in joining the action franchise.

"...this morning I did hear - the office called - Sly [Stallone] wants me for Expendables 4," he told us. "I said, 'Okay.' Because they already asked me to be in two and three, but I refused," Chan said.

"Well, I didn't refuse, but I said, 'Sly, can't we just do you and me? Not just a bunch of people and me only coming out for five minutes.' Because then the audience is, 'Oh!' And then I'm gone."

Den of Geek speculated that if Stallone writes a beefy enough role for Chan, then the venerable action star could finally make his debut in the franchise, assuming a fourth Expendables happens at all, of course.

Chan makes a good point as he may not want to show up for just a few days to shoot a five-minute scene similar to what stars like Harrison Ford, Chuck Norris, Kelsey Grammer, and Arnold Schwarzenegger have done in the past. But if Stallone could write a big enough role for him, it would make for a great fourth installment to have one of the masters of action movies in the franchise.

Expendables 3 is now in theaters with Patrick Hughes directing.
