While Apollo Nida prepares to serve eight years behind bars in federal prison, lawyers have slammed his wife, star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta Phaedra Parks, for her refusal to speak on his legal issues as she faces her own battle.

Angela Stanton Accuses Phaedra Parks Of Master Minding Chop Shops

Parks is currently suing a woman Angela Stanton, for defamation after she claimed that Parks was involved in Nida's first fraud scam that landed Stanton and Nida in jail. Now, Stanton's lawyers have put Parks on blast after she didn't answer questions concerning Nida's current legal woes in her deposition.

Documents obtained by Radar Online Thursday argue that Nida's sentencing is extremely relevant to Parks' case. Because she would not speak on it, they accuse her of "...thwarting truth-finding function of the discovery process and impeding 'the progress of this case and possible rulings'.

Apollo Nida Denies Phaedra Parks' Involvement in Criminal Activity

"Namely, she refused to answer any questions regarding her relationship with and knowledge of the criminal activities of her husband, Apollo Nida, a man with numerous and recent convictions and financial crimes."

They also point out the clear similarities between Nida and Stanton's conviction for racketeering and Nida's recent admission that he committed several types of fraud including bank and identity theft.

Parks was reportedly consistent in saying, "I will not be discussing my husband," as she doodled during the deposition.

But she wasn't completely tight-lipped about the ordeal. She did admit that she had no clue that a portion of Nida's income came from his "criminal activities." Still, she would not go any further than that.

Nida was sentenced to eight years in federal prison on July 8.
