Movie star Robert Pattinson has spoken up on his former Twilight days, which he admits has been one of the most difficult times in his career.

Robert Pattinson Thinks It's 'Amazing How Quickly People Change'

On Thursday, The Guardian released an interview with the actor who mentioned how challenging it was to do multiple films for Twilight where he co-starred with his former girlfriend Kristen Stewart. Even though his ex was not mentioned, she could have experienced the same thing as Pattinson, and she could have even been one of the reasons why filming the vampire flicks was so tough.

"I think Twilight's probably the hardest part I've done," Pattinson said. "Because to do it for five movies, it's really hard to think of stuff that's maybe not boring. Especially if you don't die. Becaise what's the drama? You're not scared of anything! And that's the whole essence of drama: life and death."

Even though Edward Cullen has become the actor's biggest trademark that audiences might never get over, Pattinson admitted that he's kind of okay with that for his own reasons.

"It's kind of fun," he said. "Because people have preconceived ideas about you, and sometimes it affords you the opportunity to shock people more."

Pattinson also revealed that the process of auditioning for his latest film The Rover was not that fun.

"I'm quite good at doing meetings," he said. "If I'm just meeting someone about a job I'm like a dog, especially if my agent's said to me: 'A lot of people want this job.' Then I'm like: 'Oh yeah? Then I will do anything to get it!'"
