A promotional photo for Downton Abbey was released this week that featured a big mistake so the cast and crew decided to respond to the blooper in their own comical yet beneficial way.

Saddening Event To Take Place In First Episodes Of Season 5?

The picture that was released this week shows The Earl and Lady Edith in their elegant old-fashioned attire as they stand in a room with fancy items around them. While this picture seemed like nothing out of the ordinary, it turns out that there was a plastic water bottle on the mantle, which can be seen on the right side of Edith. Plastic water bottles weren't around at this point so this picture ended up going viral on how the publicity crew screwed up.

The cast and crew noticed that this became a big deal so they decided to give their response in their own special way- by posing for another photo where each person is holding a plastic water bottle while giving silly poses. Some have fingers to their mouths while others point at the bottles and give goofy smiles.

Will Cora Crawley Become More Sexually Confident?

The picture was posted on Water Aid on Friday, and was not only meant to mock the previous picture, but to support a charity.

"After seeing the reaction the picture caused earlier this week, the cast and crew came up with the idea of turning some of this attention towards an issue around water that really matters," a spokesperson for ITV said. "They hope that by posing for this picture they will be able to raise awareness and amplify the work of international charity- WaterAid."

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in the United States on Sunday, January 4 on PBS.
