Ben Affleck has allegedly injured himself on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though it is unknown if this will seriously set back the film or not.

Ben Affleck Talks 'International Sport' Of Backlash Regarding 'Batman'

Affleck, who is set to play Batman in the highly anticipated blockbuster, has apparently suffered a shoulder injury on the set of the film, according to Star magazine, via Batman-News.

"It was hurting him pretty bad," a source allegedly told the publication. "He's putting his all into this role and it's pretty physically demanding. The trips to the gym are two, sometimes three times a day and on set he's like a machine."

The 41-year-old actor was reportedly performing a stunt that involved his left shoulder when the injury happened.

While some will say that Star magazine is simply a tabloid, Batman-News connected the news to a video posted this month of Affleck grasping his shoulder, which is seemingly in pain.

Batman v Superman has been fraught with all sorts of push backs and delays, so if Affleck's injury is serious, then that could pose problems. The film was originally supposed to be released on July 17, 2015 but was pushed back to May 6, 2016 due to creative reasons.

Then, when it was announced that Marvel's Captain America 3 would also be released on May 6, 2016, DC decided to move it to March 25, 2016 in order to avoid competition between the two superhero blockbusters.

For now, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
