Alex and Sierra recently paid a visit to the Seacrest Studios at the Children's Colorado Hospital to spend time with some young patients.

The duo performed an acoustic rendition of their single Scarecrow and also answered some of the children's questions.

"Other than the X Factor, what is your favorite TV show?" one boy asked the singers.

"We watch a lot of MasterChef," Sierra replied. "It's kind of boring, but we do love cooking."

Alex and Sierra also offered advice to the young crowd. "You have to make sure that you do everything you can to be the best that you can be and you have to follow whatever you love," Alex said.

Sierra added: "Don't give up and smile every day."

The X Factor alums were also accompanied by Denver radio DJ Bo Jaxon, who asked them about Simon Cowell's snacking habits during the Fox competition show.

"Simon Cowell would always have an enormous bowl of British chocolates and candies. He would never finish them all, so he would let us take them," Sierra said. Alex chimed in, "I'd just go up and I'd grab them."

Alex and Sierra praised the children on Twitter after the event. "This was a special day for us. these kids are rockstars," they wrote.

The winners of season 3 of X Factor USA are also gearing up to release their debut album, It's About Us, on Oct. 7.
