While production has only been going on for one day in San Francisco, it seems like the first image of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang has already hit the web.

Cast For 'Ant-Man' Set To Include Rapper-Turned-Actor

Marvel unveiled the photo in an article with USA Today on Tuesday that showed Rudd as the movie's thieving hero. The look seems to be a mix between Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Batman Begins.

"The way technology has advanced just in the last few years, picturing this world, what they can do with this kind of story line and character, I thought this could be something that could be very strange and hasn't been seen before," Rudd told USA Today in July. "I was really excited about being a part of something like that."

Could Some Established Marvel Characters Cameo In 'Ant-Man' To Link It To The Other Movies?

Rudd headlines a cast that includes Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll. They added Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, T.I., Michael Pena, Wood Harris, Abby Ryder Fortson, David Dastmalchian, and Gregg Turkington on Monday to the cast.

Rudd is entering the territory of action movies after making his mark mainly in comedies up to this point. But even with Edgar Wright gone, it seems like the crew is looking to make Ant-Man a comedy and having Rudd in the lead should make it naturally easy for them.

The movie will be in San Francisco before moving to Atlanta in the next few weeks for filming.

Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed and is set to open in theaters on July 17, 2015.
