The Mentalist may get the old gang back together again during season 7, or at least that's what actor Tim Kang is hoping for.

Following the death of Red John, the CBS slowly phased out Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) as Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) created a new home at the CBI. While the couple is now living the civilian life, there are some who wouldn't mind seeing them join the cast once more.

"I hope so. You never know!" Kang (Cho) said when asked about Rigsby and Van Pelt's return.

With the possibility that the truncated 13-epsiode season could be the series' last, the next few scripts could be series writers' last chance to utilize that characters.

Since their departure in "White as the Driven Snow," Yeoman has filmed for CBS' Extant and the film American Sniper while Righetti has appeared on both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
