The cast of A&E's Longmire is known for their social media presence. In fact, it is one of the elements that best helps to promote the show and generate enthusiasm from the fans.

Nonetheless, star Katee Sackhoff (Victoria) reminded folks on Twitter Monday that all that attention isn't always a good thing, even if she is capable of exercising restraint.

"When someone insults you on twitter… why do they include you in the post?" she wrote "It's crazy! Some days I wish I could be a b---- & respond!"

'Longmire' Stars Keep Busy As Series Awaits Renewal

While some stars personally respond to hateful messages, or denounce their haters in more general ways, Sackhoff is not one prone to that sort of negativity when it comes to social media. Instead she aims to promote the positive, which is one of the things her Longmire fans respect.

"You take the high road which is why I follow you," replied @jmzotz, "Love your work."

"If it's not who you are, don't do it #HatersWillHate" agreed @kanggurusante.

Sackhoff seemed to let the "insults" from haters go. She has yet to comment further on the subject.

Since Longmire is still awaiting word on renewal for a fourth season, the fact that it is the network's top scripted series holds a lot of weight. This, combined with fan involvement and the cast's strong social media presence, has got some believing the series just might make it through.

If renewed, Longmire will return to A&E for a fourth season sometime in 2015.
