On August 19, it was revealed that season 3 of Arrow would be getting another DC villain in Komodo, to be played by Matt Ward.

Character Specs For Main Villain For Season 3 Of Arrow Revealed

Entertainment Weekly reported that Ward would be portraying Simon Lacroix aka Komodo in the series. The villain will feature in the second episode of the season. Executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, also weighed in on Komodo's entry:

"Yes, he's the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you'll see that Team Arrow's pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline," he said. "You're going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the week episodes have done in the past."

Nightwing To Be Played By Vampire Diaries Star In Season 3?

While a bunch of villains for season 3 have been announced, Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) arch enemy for the next chapter was under speculation. The equivalent of Slade in season 3 will be Ra's Al Ghul according to a recent TVGuide report.  

Two other reckonable villains who have also been revealed. Malcolm Merlyn will return and wreack havoc as the Dark Archer. Recently, TVLine revealed that Peter Stormare, who starred in the film adaptation ofFargo, will be portraying Werner Zytle, who is the alias of Count Vertigo in DC Comics' New 52s. Zytle would replace the Count (Seth Gabel), who died at the hands of Oliver in season 2. Zytle will taken on the role of playing the new peddler for Vertigo. He will also be the first antagonist for the Arrow team in season 3.

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW. Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
