Instead, Cas (Misha Collins) will stay earthbound for the first run of episodes, choosing to spend his dwindling time attempting to save Dean (Jensen Ackles) instead. Despite this, at least one familiar tree toppers will make a brief appearance.

"We see Hanna right in the beginning of the season. I think she's the only one. I may be wrong," Collins told Ksite TV. As for new angels, it appears they will be there but apparently not in any major capacity. "Not at the moment. Not in the beginning of the season. I mean, yes there are a couple, that's a lie. Yes we are going to see other angels."

Perhaps avoiding his temperamental brothers isn't such a bad idea. Cas is in no shape to fight, and that's all his seems to do with his dysfunctional family.

"He's very impaired. So he's just getting weaker and weaker," Collins explained to Ksite TV. "He's not really human, but his powers are very depleted and he's sick."
