'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers: Could Summer Edgecombe Return? Tim Kang Hopes So [VIDEO]
The Mentalist is nearing a potential end, and there are a few guest stars the cast hope to see return in season 7.
The CBS series used season 6 to paired off four of it's core characters - Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) with Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) and Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yoeman) with Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) - but Agent Kimball Cho (Tim Kang) has yet to find his match. However, the Kang remains hopeful that the series will bring back Summer Edgecombe (Samaire Armstrong), one of Cho's old flings
"Always hoping for a "Summer" return. But that decision is above my pay grade," Kang tweeted on Sunday. "Samaire is awesome to work with!"

Summer first appeared in season 4 as a prostitute and CBI informant. Cho and summer quickly struck up a romance (see video below) but their relationship went south when her drug use became a heated issue. After leaving the states, a pregnant Summer returned in season 5 with her fiancé.
Unfortunately, Armstrong is currently involved with another series.
"She's on @Resurrection now," Kang told a fan on Twitter. "Trying to get her to come back to @Mentalist_CBS. Cho misses her."
Find out if Summer makes a reappearance when The Mentalist returns to CBS in 2015.
