The biggest mysteries and rivalries in Port Charles are only getting more intense on General Hospital-and some innocent victims are paying the price.

Molly Remembers What Rafe Told Her

It was recently revealed that Rafe's first car accident, which caused the death of Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Sabrina's (Teresa Castillo) infant son Gabriel, was done on purpose-as someone put Rafe up to the task. And now in an effort to not only help her friend, but her ex-boyfriend's now-dead nephew (Rafe died after a second car accident on July 4th)-Sam (Kelly Monaco) is working to get to the bottom of who was responsible for putting Rafe up to the crime.

And now, her investigation may have turned up something big-something she will need to share with Silas (Michael Easton).

Alexis Realizes Julian Has Been Lying To Her

"I need to speak with you," she says to him in a preview clip for the Thursday, August 21 episode.

It's not completely clear to anyone in Port Charles yet who put Rafe up to the accident, but several members of the mob war are suspects-except for the one who would have been most likely responsible for the accident-Luke (Anthony Geary).

And since he isn't suspected of other crimes, he is free to make orders for other ones, as he controls the Jerome empire-and wants to finally eliminate Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) for good. He requested Ava (Maura West) kill Sonny's son, Michael (Chad Duell), and warned her that if she didn't do it she'd be next-and now he's informing her brother of the plot.

"I'm about to hit Corinthos where he lives," Luke says to Julian (Michael DeVry) in the clip.

Eliminating Michael helps Luke in more than one way-not only could it potentially remove Sonny from the mob war when he becomes too stricken with grief, but it also kills the current CEO of ELQ-the empire he has been trying to gain control of. It also allows him to potentially try seducing Kiki (Kristen Aldersen) again, because Michael is the man he believes is standing in his way.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
