Many didn't believe it would last, and despite having some heavy PDA sessions in both Sardinia and Ibiza, the critics were right about the romance between Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron, as the two have reportedly split officially, after just a two-month long whirlwind affair.

And while photos from their trip to Ibiza earlier this month appeared to show a couple that was enjoying their romance, the two reportedly fought while they were there-and as a result of that and wanting different things-have called off their romance.

"Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her," a source told Us Weekly. "He's very into her though, and perhaps more than she's into him."

And according to Hollywood Life, the 26-year-old actor did fall for the actress hard-which was one of the things that didn't help the relationship, especially since the two apparently wanted different things out of it.

"Zac has an addicting personality, which rolls over to his women. He invests in something and falls hard-fast," a source told the website. "He really fell hard for Michelle, and she just wanted to have fun and not have a super serious relationship. Plus, Michelle is interested more in women than men-so that was an issue as well."

"As great as it would sound to most guys, Zac didn't want to share her with anyone, especially other women," the source added.

However, although the pair have called it quits for now, the source warned that critics shouldn't count a reconciliation out entirely, as it's possible the two could reignite their romance later on when they get on the same page about what they want from their future.

"Things aren't dead in the water, but Zac has to settle down on falling in love too fast. Michelle is on a completely different wavelength," the source said.
