A complicated person from Kurt's (Chris Colfer) past is returning to Fox's Glee for the final season of the musical series.

New McKinley High Characters Include Gay 'Football Stud' & 'Weird' Twin Cheerios

Season 6 will see the return of Dave Karofsky (Max Adler), the former bully to Kurt who eventually came out as gay, according to a new report by The Hollywood Reporter. While this would be somewhat significant on its own, that's not even the half of it.

Sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that Karofsky's return comes as the character becomes romantically linked to Blaine (Darren Criss), Kurt's fiancé. While this has not been confirmed by Fox, it would certainly bring a whole new level of drama for Kurt and Blaine in the final season.

Cory Monteith Likely To Be Given Tribute In Final Season of Glee

His arc in the final season is expected to be "major" and Adler will be appearing in four of the 13 episodes, at least.

The possibility of Karofsky hooking up with Blaine is obvious significant and arguably surprising, considering Kurt and Blaine seemed closer than ever when they were last seen in the Season 5 finale.

The final season of Glee will be going back to Lima and McKinley High after spending several episodes in Season 5 away from the school in which fans fell in love with these characters. Reportedly both Rachel (Lea Michele) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) will be back at the school in some capacity. It is not known if Kurt or Blaine will return at any time.

Glee's final season is slated to air in early 2015 on Fox, considering the musical series was left off the network's Fall 2014 schedule.
